Situated on a 15 acre campus surrounded
by beautiful English countryside in
Berkshire and just 40 minutes’ drive from
Heathrow, Padworth provides a safe and

Academic Profile
Padworth is proud of its academic record
and the excellent results routinely achieved
by its students enabling them to go on to
the top universities in the UK. Last year,
we were placed 7th nationally in The
Telegraph Smaller Independent Schools
League Table for academic excellence and
also named in the Top 50 Co-ed Boarding
Schools in the UK.
Accommodation
Students live in comfortable boarding
houses on the campus with common
rooms and kitchenette facilities – most
are in single rooms and there are double
rooms for younger students.
Facilities
Sports facilities for basketball, football,
volleyball, netball, tennis and badminton
are available on site and there is also an
outdoor swimming pool which is used in
the Summer Term. A fully equipped gym
is popular with the students as are the
recreational areas which provide table
tennis, pool tables and table football.
A Level
Padworth offers a two year A level course
in Accounting, Business Studies, Biology,
Chemistry, Economics, English Language
and Literature, Fine Art, Geography,
Government andPolitics, ICT, Mathematics,
Further Mathematics, Sociology, Physics
and Psychology. In the first year, students
choose 4 subjects to study up to AS level
and usually, they continue with 3 subjects
in the second year. International students
will also receive English Language support
as appropriate and preparation for the
IELTS examinations.
University destinations:
Include Cambridge, Bath, Liverpool,
Southampton, Sheffield, Cardiff, Exeter
and the University of Arts London.
Language support:
We believe that English Language support
is the key to success for international
students and so we have a specialist team
of EFL teachers who provide English
tuition for every student at the appropriate
level at no extra charge.
Our Pre A level course combines English
Language tuition with academic study
and even the possibility of taking a
number of GCSEs – this course provides a
solid foundation for students who intend
to go on to A level study but who need
to improve their English first. All of our A
Level students receive English Language
support to help with their academic
study and in preparation for the IELTS
examination.
